Bus Ministry

For many years, Woodlawn Baptist Church has run buses and vans into the community reaching families with the Gospel and giving them a way to attend church. We also have an excellent children’s ministry. Our pastor William Tyson is a former “bus kid”, and knows how important church attendance and learning God’s plan and will in the life of any individual is. Matthew 19:14 says, “But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” In our Church, children are very special! We strive for the children who ride the “Blue Bus” to have a fun time. We usually give out candy during Sunday School. We sing, play games and give out prizes. We always want the children to see God’s love in us, and help them know that they are very special to Him. Woodlawn baptist church has created the buskids.org website for the purpose of giving testimony of the wonderful impact of the bus ministry in ministries across America as well as provide a forum for discipleship for our “buskids” in this new technological generation!
